Since 2019, we have been conducting a cyclical course of Transthoracic Lung Ultrasound of Dogs and Cats (partly also of exotic animals). Until the end of 2023 11 such courses have been held:

During the trainings, Natalia Buda, MD, PhD presents the basics of lung ultrasound. A normal ultrasound image of the lungs, types of artifacts and the technical aspects of the examination in people are discussed. Katarzyna Kraszewska, DVM, Ph.D. and Michał Gajewski, DVM discuss diseases and pathophysiological conditions within the lungs and chest (such as pneumonia, interstitial lung diseases, pneumothorax, pulmonary edema, assessment of pleural cavities, neoplastic changes) in animals. Research protocols and clinical cases from the practice of both veterinarians are discussed.
Starting from 2024, the course changes its formula from a two-day to a three-day training, the framework program is as follows:
Friday lectures from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m., followed by welcome drink and refreshments
Saturday lectures from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
We start Sunday with lectures and end with 3 hours of practical classes with patients. Wrap-up of the course is scheduled at 4:30 p.m.
