RTG, USG

Yearly examination count

The above chart displays the changes in numbers of chest x-rays performed in our clinic as compared to the number of performed LUS examinations. One can clearly see that we perform over twice the number of LUS examinations than we used to do chest x-rays in the past. This shows that LUS is less time consuming and easier to perform, because we can skip moving the patient to the x-ray examination room, positioning the patient on the table, performing, and saving radiograms. That is because everything we need – the ultrasound probe and machine – we have at hand! For the patients and their owner this means less stress and a more precise diagnosis.
